Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is eyeing to end WWE legend John Cena’s career if they share the ring during Cena’s upcoming farewell tour.
John Cena recently returned at WWE Money in the Bank 2024 and announced that he will hang up his boots after a retirement tour next year. His legendary career will come to an end in December 2025 after competing in several WWE PLEs.
Drew McIntyre feels he can drive John Cena ‘crazy’
Speaking at the Fanatics Fest NYC event, McIntyre noted that he will drive the management crazy as well as John Cena to get a match against. He said that he is aiming to send him packing happy retirement alongside McIntyre’s arch-rival CM Punk. He said:
“I’ll be pushing and nudging them left and right to make it happen cause the amount of stories I got about Punk and things that happened when I was younger, I got ten fold on him. There was never a one-on-one match, if I have to drive management crazy, I’ll drive them crazy, I’ll drive John crazy, I’m gonna get that match and I’ll tear him apart on the microphone, which not everyone can do, in the ring and send him packing in a happy retirement and hopefully Punk along with him.”

Cena and McIntyre squared off against each other on the January 14, 2019, edition of Raw where Finn Balor won a fatal four-way that also included Baron Corbin. Recently John Cena’s former rival has also expressed his desire to face him. Meanwhile, ‘The Scottish Warrior’ is coming off a win over CM Punk and their feud seems to be far from over.
