14-time World Champion Randy Orton has revealed that he had auditioned for a popular Marvel movie, Deadpool 2. However, he didn’t make the cut.
Randy Orton talks about the audition
Orton revealed to Cody Rhodes on ‘What Do You Wanna Talk About?,’ that he does auditions and talked about his Deadpool 2 audition. He revealed that he read for the role of Cable. ‘The Viper’ was brimming was confidence about bagging the role. However, it was Josh Brolin got the role. Orton realized that could be sending in auditions but he is primarily a pro wrestler. He said:
”So I do auditions here and there, I remember when I finally got some representation in that industry, Deadpool 2? Cable. I read for Cable and in my head boy I was gonna be Cable. I was like ”Mm, this is it.” Nope, no call back, no nothing. Josh Brolin gets it, of course Brolin gets it. I kind of realized then that ‘Oh I can send these auditions, but I’m a pro wrestler.”
Randy Orton’s acting career
Orton had a supporting role as the father of a school bully in the comedy-drama film That’s What I Am (2011) and in the comedy-drama film Changeland (2019). The former 14-time World Champion had signed to be the lead in The Marine 3: Homefront in 2013 but he was replaced by The Miz.
He later starred in the action films 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded (2013) and The Condemned 2 (2015). He also bagged a guest role as James Richards, a former Navy SEAL and leader of a militia group, in an episode of the USA action series Shooter. He also had a supporting role
Randy Orton reportedly signed a new deal with WWE and he is now eyeing to dethrone Gunther and win the World Heavyweight title at Bash In Berlin later this month.
