WATCH: Paddy Pimblett Makes Cheeky Callout Of UFC Champion While Showing Off His 42-Pound Weight Gain

Paddy Pimblett once again has embarked on his usual post-UFC victory route, gaining a good chunk of weight. However, the UFC Lightweight star has made his next course of action clear- with a witty callout of Islam Makhachev- the reigning 155-pound champion.

“The Baddy” is fresh off a victory at UFC 304 on 27th July in Manchester, where the Liverpudlian secured a first-round submission victory over UFC veteran King Green. Known for his drastic weight gains in between fights, Pimblett (22-3 MMA, 6-0 UFC)  shared a video on his YouTube channel this Sunday, showing off his current weight of 198 pounds- a whopping 42 pound gain from making 156 on the scale just two weeks back.

“I’m still a bit chubby. I’m not as fat as I have been but I’m still a bit chubby,” Pimblett said in the clip. “We were eating all sorts. Chinese, Thai, steak, burgers. I’m still looking forward to some scrans here. But I just need to train. That’s the main thing.” [H/T BBC]

Paddy Pimblett sets his sights on Islam Makhachev’s 155-pound gold

Soon after showing the number on the scale, Pimblett turned the conversation towards Makhachev (25-1 MMA, 14-1 UFC, who recently acknowledged that he’s ready to give Pimblett a title contest, provided that the Englishman racks up a few more good wins in the Octagon.

“Did you see that where Islam was talking about me the other day?” Pimblett spoke in reference to Makhachev’s comments. “He said, ‘he;’s an exciting fighter’, and that ‘if he keeps winning, you never know, he could fight for the belt’ and that”.
