Former WWE Champion AJ Styles did not make an appearance on last night’s edition of SmackDown. Reports suggested that he would make his comeback on the show. However, that was not the case and fans were certainly upset with his absence.
AJ Styles was not in the attendance
As per PWInsider, AJ Styles was not in attendance for the show and thus missed it. However, ‘The Phenomenal One’ is still expected to make his comeback the programming and storylines ahead of Bash in Berlin PLE later this month. The report suggested the reason for AJ Styles’ absence. It was noted that the company had already locked in on the creative plans but decided that it wasn’t the right time to bring him back.
Pro Wrestling NOAH and WWE announced their collaboration and a match between Styles and Naomichi Marufuji at NOAH Destination 2024 on July 13 at Budokan Hall. The former WWE Champion emerged victorious by hitting Styles Clash.
AJ Styles has been away from WWE programming since he lost the ‘I Quit’ match for the WWE Undisputed Championship against Cody Rhodes. He did compete during WWE’s Live Events in Japan and fans can expect him to be back very soon.
